Friends in Christ,
On new year’s day, we will celebrate the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, a holy day of obligation. This solemnity is a beautiful and important feast in the life of the Church. Our focus isn't on starting the new year -- although that is certainly reason for celebration, and what better way is there to start out the new year than by going to Mass -- rather our focus is on Mary and her motherhood. There is no Christmas without Christ, but there is no Christ without His mother.
Masses will be celebrated at 4:30 PM on December 31 in Lodi (which will also be live-streamed), and 8:00 AM on January 1 in Dane.
